How you can help improve the play areas in Stowmarket

Friday, 17 February 2012 10:11
We own a number of play areas in the town and we are planning to apply for funding to make improvements to them. In order to be successful when applying for funding, we need to be able to show that we've consulted with people to find out their views on the play areas. This is where you can help us.

We are currently focussing on the play area at Glemsford Road (outside Combs Ford Primary School)  and have set up a simple online survey in respect of this. We would be extremely grateful if you could click here and complete a survey. By doing so, you will be increasing our chances of securing the funding needed to make the necessary improvements.
We are also looking at setting up a small "working group" of residents with an interest in improving the Chilton Fields play area. This is the only play area serving the Chilton Fields estate and is in need of significant improvement. We have identified a potential funder for this scheme but, in view of the size of the project and the likely cost involved, we need residents behind it to make it happen. If you're interested in getting involved, please email Public Services Manager Daniel Harvey at This email address is being protected from spambots.
