After several years of planning, fundraising, sorting out paperwork and overcoming hurdles we're delighted that the new play facilities at the Recreation Ground - consisting of a new play area, skatepark and ballpark - are all now open.
The project cost nearly £200,000, the vast marjority of which was funded from external sources.
There are still a few finishing touches to make including the installation of more bins, seating and signs.
There is also some work that needs to be done to make good the area of the ground where the old play area was located.
