Getting Married in Stowmarket PDF Print E-mail
The historical parish room situated within the Stowmarket Town Council buildings is licensed for civil marriages. The room and adjoining gardens makes a perfect setting for your special day.

The room accommodates 30 guests seated but there is also standing space available for larger groups.Use of the surrounding gardens for photographs is complimentary and the use of confetti is encouraged (biodegradable of course). We can offer a choice of ceremony formats to suit all tastes. You can even ask the Town Council staff to act as witnesses. You do not need to be a local resident to marry here – everyone will be made very welcome.

Civil Marriages are operated by the Registration Service in conjunction with Suffolk County Council. Also available are: -
  • Naming ceremonies for babies and children
  • Renewal of Vows Ceremonies
  • Civil Partnership Registration and Ceremonies for same sex couples
  • Private citizenship ceremonies

The Registrar Office is open every weekday for the registration of births and deaths. Telephone 01449 612054.
