I am Malcolm Baker, the Town Clerk at Stowmarket Town Council. I was born in Buxhall, and have lived in Stowmarket for nearly 30 years. I am married with four (grown up) children. I started work as Town Clerk in May 2003, prior to that, I worked in the electricity industry and was self-employed for a number of years. I have been involved with Parish and Town Councils in various ways for many years. Among the most enjoyable parts of my job is the wide variety of issues I deal with, tackling constant change, and the chance to meet people and be able to help improve what the Town Council provides. It certainly is good to work with so many positive and supportive people! A couple of my favourite places in Stowmarket are The Parish Church spire set against a brilliant blue sky, and Milton House (of course!).
